Roman Urdu: Raat ki khamoshi mein jab duniya gehri neend so jati hai, main apne kamre ki khidki ke paas aa khada hota hoon. Bahar andhere mein lipta aasman weeran aur khamosh dikhai deta hai. Yeh khidki sirf sheeshe ka frame nahi, balki mere andar ki tanhai aur bahar ke la-mehdood andhere ke darmiyan ek pul hai.
English: When the world falls into deep sleep in the silence of the night, I come and stand by my window. The sky outside, wrapped in darkness, looks empty and silent. This window is not just a glass frame, but a bridge between the loneliness inside me and the endless dark outside.
Khidki ke paar raat ka manzar udaas hai,
Shayad falak ko bhi meri tarah kisi ki aas hai.
Beyond the window the night looks sad,
Perhaps the sky, like me, is waiting for someone.
Taare bhi rooth kar kahin chhup gaye hain aaj,
Ab raat ke daaman mein faqat tera ehsaas hai.
Even the stars have sulked and hidden tonight,
Only the feeling of you remains in the folds of the night.
Roman Urdu: Is weeran aasman ko dekh kar dil mein ek ajeeb si hooq uthti hai. Aisa lagta hai jaise yeh aasman bhi meri tarah akela hai aur kisi ka muntazir hai. Chaand, jo kabhi kisi ke saath dekha tha, aaj ajnabi lagta hai, aur hawa ki sard lehar mazi ke bichhde huye chehre yaad dila deti hai.
English: Looking at this empty sky stirs a strange ache in my heart. It feels as though the sky is lonely like me, waiting for someone. The moon, which I once watched with someone, feels like a stranger today, and the cold breeze reminds me of faces lost to the past.
Chaand ko dekha tha kabhi humne saath saath,
Ab chaandni ke saath bhi dil mein haraas hai.
We once watched the moon together,
Now even moonlight fills my heart with dread.
Hawa jo chhoo ke guzri to yaad aa gaye woh log,
Jin ki judaai aaj bhi dil ke aas paas hai.
When the breeze brushed past me, I remembered those people,
Whose separation still lingers near my heart.
Roman Urdu: Yeh khamosh raat aur be-inteha phaila hua aasman insaan ko apne andar jhankne par majboor kar deta hai. Jab dil mein dard ki shiddat badhti hai to alfaaz khatam ho jate hain aur sirf aankhon ki nami baqi reh jati hai.
English: This silent night and the endless sky force a person to look within. When the pain in the heart grows, words run out and only moist eyes remain.
Lafzon ne saath chhod diya, aankh nam hui,
Khamoshi hi ab mere dard ka libaas hai.
Words abandoned me and my eyes grew moist,
Silence is now the garment my pain wears.
Roman Urdu: Yeh tehreer un tamam tanha roohon ke naam hai jo raat ke kisi pehar khidki ke paas baith kar khamoshi se apne bikhre huye khwabon ko yaad karti hain.
English: This writing is dedicated to every lonely soul who sits by a window in the dead of night, quietly remembering their scattered dreams.
